Volunteers needed for “Wind Works for Kansas” booth at the Kansas State Fair

The “Wind Works for Kansas” booth at the Kansas State Fair needs volunteers September 6-15. Volunteers will receive a free pass into the fair, meal ticket, “Wind Works for Kansas” t-shirt, and some swag, while assisting at the booth as the face of wind energy.  Help encourage the public to sign postcards to legislators and create a photo booth project to support Wind Power! Sign up now at VolunteerSpot and choose the time that works best for you!  Cassi will send you an informative welcome email with everything you need to know about your volunteer time and VolunteerSpot will send you an automated confirmation and reminders. Email windworksforkansas@gmail.com with questions. “Wind Works for Kansas” is sponsored by Climate and Energy Project in conjunction with American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Kansans for Clean Energy, Kansans for Wind Energy, and The Wind Coalition. If you can’t volunteer this year, be sure to stop by the booth at 221 Lake Talbott Ave, near the Domestic Arts building.  Come write a postcard to your legislator supporting wind energy in Kansas, take a photo at our photo booth, and receive some free swag.
