Fly Me to the Moon: A 1960’s Extravaganza
November 14, 2013
6 p.m. – 10 p.m
The 1960’s was a tumultuous decade with great change for the country. One of those changes was the beginning of a jet-setting age of high-flying celebrities, dashing back and forth across the country in what was the birth of the private jet. At the forefront of this development was Bill Lear and the iconic company he built from nothing.
Join us as we replicate this fast-paced era of Rat-Pack sensibilities and Go-Go fashion. Dress in costume if you wish, but be prepared for great food, great music, exciting silent and live auctions, a prize stacked casino, costumed 60’s re-enactors, induction of worthy candidates into the Kansas Aviation Hall of Fame and much more. Local celebrity Sierra Scott will MC the event and both local and national notables will be in attendance.
Live auction items include a Top Gun Experience for one that includes actual air time in either the Marchetti SF260 or the Extra 300L and/or a Trip for Two to the 2014 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, California.
Join us again in 2013 for a great evening of aviation and celebration that will assist in helping KAM achieve its mission of preserving our wonderful Kansas Aviation Heritage.
Admission Price: $100 per person or $1,250 for a table sponsorship, please call KAM to reserve your seat/table, inquire about additional sponsorship opportunities.
