MSC Software offers Acoustic Theory and Numerical Simulation Seminar

ImageMSC Software is offering a free acoustic seminar on May 13 at the National Center for Aviation Training. The seminar will cover the following:

  • An introduction to acoustic theory and an overview of the concepts behind the most commonly used numerical methods used for acoustic simulation including BEM, FEM, SEA and Ray Tracing.
  • A high level overview of pure acoustics, vibro acoustics and aero acoustics, as well as some key principles in acoustic testing related to comparison of measurements with simulation results.
  • An overview of Actran acoustic simulation software and its various applications to predict acoustic performance in ground vehicles, aircraft, spacecraft, consumer products, audio equipment and other fields.
  • A live demonstration of Actran, showing model set up, options for analysis types, post processing and automation.
