The Kansas Aviation Museum is partnering up with Fort Riley for an educational field trip on November 15.  Families and individuals will have the opportunity to learn about the many aspects of helicopters at Kansas’ finest helicopter base.  Transport will be by chartered bus, which will depart the museum at 7 a.m. We will depart from the base at 5 p.m.  We will make a dinner stop in Herrington.  During the visit each participant will have the opportunity to examine an Apache helicopter in static display, observe preparation of the Apaches during pre-flight and observe the helicopters as they operate over the firing range.

The adult cost is $50 and youth cost is $45.  Ages 4-17 are considered youth.  The cost includes charter bus, lunch and dinner.  There are a limited number of slots for this trip, so it is on a first come-first serve bases. You are required to prepay by November 14.  You are required to have a form of identification for this day trip to Fort Riley. If you have questions or want to reserve your spot, please contact the museum by telephone at (316) 683-9242.
